I would choose option A. I think that if that were to happen it is something that you can work with, put up with, while the film shoot is going on. If their acting is still up to par than, although it would be hard, I think we could still get it done. Also I could get help from the other actors or production crew to help with the actor. There is a lot of down time with actors so the good thing would be that they are not in every scene. Therefore they are not around all the time. I don’t think it would be easy by any means to continue to shoot the film with the troubled actor, but I think it would be easier to work around than a ego-maniac writer.

Rome Quote

“There was once a dream that was Rome. You could only whisper it. Anything more than a whisper and it would vanish. It was so fragile.” This quote by Marcus Aurelius is from the movie Gladiator. It tells me that people strived for something. They wanted Rome to become a great nation. It also says that it was not easy and there were many people against it. I think that for something truly meaningful to take place, such as the rise of Rome, people must make sacrifices. It puts a common goal ahead of everyone else. If you truly believe in what Rome is capable of being than you must be willing to risk everything to achieve it. It makes sense in today’s world as well. If you have a goal that is not easy by any means, you will have to work extremely hard and sacrifice to achieve it.

I think the film industry will always have its blockbuster films. They are very important to keeping the industry alive. I see the industry moving towards a more artful direction. More and more people are getting into low budget indie films. With the availabilities that the world has today there is much more out there to see. It is easier to find smaller films therefore they are becoming more accepted among the general population. As that happens the films are also being recognized by award shows. The outlets for film are so much more abundant than that of the years past. A film that no one could have seen 20 years ago is easily accessible on the web or at one of many film festivals.
I don’t really believe that any certain genre is going to be produced less. If I had to pick I’d say maybe mobster films. That era of time is over and there have been numerous films about it. There will still be plenty of films made about that era, maybe just a little less than before.

If I could take only five DVD’s from my burning house I’d probably try and spread the range of genre’s out. I’ll start with a drama and go with Crash. I feel that this movie has a message that is important to all. I would also grab Adaptation, its one of my favorite movie’s outright. I would then go to a documentary film entitled Grizzly Man. The raw emotion of this movie and the reality of what he accomplished in the film was amazing. Next I would go with a documentary entitled I Am Trying To Break Your Heart. This is a film about the band Wilco and the struggle they had making their acclaimed album Yankee Hotel Foxtrot. Last, but not least, I would take the box set of The Office. The BBC version, not the American one. This show changed everything I loved in Television comedy.
I think believe that one of the most suspenseful films that I have is Crash. This movie may not be suspense in the typical way but it definitely has its own spin on it. There are two scenes that I recall being the most suspenseful in the movie. The first is when Matt Dillon’s character is trying to remove the woman from the car. She realizes who he is and doesn’t want his help. She also realizes that if she doesn’t accept his help she will probably die.
The next, which to me is the best scene in the movie, is when the locksmith’s daughter apparently gets shot. The emotions that come out of, not only the father, but also the mother and the shop owner who shot her is amazing. He did not know that there were blanks in the gun but when he shot her he realized what he did.

I have not seen a great deal of horror films, although one does stick out in my mind. 28 Days Later is an intense, moving story while also doing a good job creating the zombies and sticking to the horror genre. I think it is great because not only does it give you the horror aspect but also tackles social issues. What if an island, like Great Britain, did have cases of a disease that was extremely contagious? What would the rest of the world do? Would they quarantine them as they did in the movie? Would the world leaders decide to sacrifice the lives of millions to save billions of people? These questions are all brought up in the film. They are important because the possibility of something, although not exactly like the film, but something similar is quite possible. Take sars for example, everyone was afraid that it would spread and kill many people. These issues are very relevant today. What really amuses me about the movie is the reason the epidemic started was because of animal rights activist.
I think that there will always be an abundance of horror films out there. It seems to me that many horror films, many of lesser quality, continue to be produced because there is a demand for them. The challenge, I feel, is for there to be a breakthrough of many good horror films. I would like to see more horror films that make you think and bring social questions in to the picture.

I am not sure if he is the best, or even a favorite among other people. Zaphod Beeblebrox is someone whom I really enjoyed when I watched Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy. I like his mannerisms mostly, how he was a quirky character but still felt he could do anything he wanted. He tried to charm his way through life mainly because he was not a smart person at all. In the movie he was president of the galaxy. He wasn’t deserving of the title but still used it for to get things he wanted. I like that lemons were his source of power for his brain. He was doing everything for himself as a ruler and not caring for anyone else.
Jabba the Hut is the best sci-fi villain. He was disturbing to look at but you were afraid of basically a big blob. He is not the main villain is the Star Wars saga but he did play an important role. Although he did not match the pure evil of the Emperor or Darth Vader who could forget that he captured princess Lea in the bikini.
